Submerge is back!
The Submerge strand of the event is aimed at young, new and emerging artists looking to create and display artwork on a public platform through a mentored commission in collaboration with the East Riding Visual Arts Uplift.
The experience allows artists to go through all the elements of concept to creation with the support of the event management, production teams and further contractors where required to ensure the piece is showcasing the best the artist has to offer.
Inspired by wildlife webcams, this digital work is the outcome of an artist’s residency at the Carlton Marshes Nature Reserve which will take place in 2019. It uses everyday video technology to connect the coastal towns of Bridlington and Lowestoft. Festival goers are invited to watch each other’s reactions to the unexpected screen content.
