Join the team from Hull Carnival Arts for two fun and accessible pop-up parade experiences around ArtWaves Festival.
Meet some of their breath taking giant puppets and carnival sculptures, try on carnival costumes and get the chance to wear them as you dance and groove round the parade route to the funky music!
How to get involved in advance
We're looking for community groups, clubs, musicians, dancers, moovers, groovers and simply anyone who would like to get involved and join us on what is set to be a sea creature themed visual spectacular as part of the annual ArtWaves Festival in Bridlington!
If you're part of a group looking to strut your stuff down the promenade you can embrace our sea creature theme and get creative with some costumes - we're happy to provide inspiration! Get in touch and let us know your plans!
Perhaps you have some creative skills you could add to the mix; drumming, dancing, creative costume making or something else entirely! Let us know how you would like to participate as part of the parade!
Our young creatives can visit a local library for an art pack and parade cut out template that can be brought to life before being transformed into a parade asset on the day ready for taking part. Join in a shoal of fellow fish, a shell collective, crab family or our starfish family and get ready to have some fun!
Please Note: All Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Please let us know in advance if you have any access issues we should be aware of.
We will email you the latest competition news, keep you up-to-date on the festival, let you know when competitions open and publicise prize-winners.
